Data for the planning and cooking tools

The weekly plan and completed cooking steps are saved locally in your browser, like favourites and shopping. They are not sent to our server or synced across devices. Clear a plan or reset cooking steps in the tool, or remove site data in your browser settings.

Advertising and cookies

This version includes no Google ads or visitor analytics. Before services that collect data are introduced, this policy will be updated to reflect the actual services and applicable visitor consent requirements.

Language, appearance, audio and updates

Language, theme and update preferences are stored only in this browser. Recipe notices work while the site is open; we use no push service and collect no email for them. Article reading uses voices supplied by your browser or device. Some voices may need a connection or use the device maker's service. We have not added an external service that receives article text. Audio starts only when you request it.

Email contact

The contact link opens your email app. If you send a message, its contents reach the mailbox owner and their email provider. Do not send sensitive personal or medical details.

Recipe likes

When you select a public heart, we save a random identifier in a secure cookie for one year. Cloudflare D1 stores its link to the recipe, like state and last change time. This prevents repeated likes from the same browser and shows visitors the total. No name or email is requested, and the likes table does not store IP addresses.

You can remove your like with the same button. Clearing the site cookie breaks this browser’s link to previous likes and does not automatically erase the stored record. Use the contact page for problems or data requests.

To limit automated traffic, we temporarily process the IP address and store a protected daily identifier and request counter. The identifier expires after 24 hours and expired entries are gradually removed during subsequent requests. The likes database does not store raw IP addresses, and the identifier is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your pantry ingredients

The ingredients selected in the ingredient finder are saved locally in your browser for your next visit. Clear choices removes the saved selection. This data is not sent to the site server.
